~*Marriage

“When I consider marrying a man, I look at him and think ‘If he had lived at the time when the Savior was on the earth, would he have sold all he had and followed after the Lord? If the Lord had said ‘come follow me’ would he have followed?’ That’s the sort of man I want. How can I truly love and honor and obey any other sort of man? When I give myself to a man, I’ll hold nothing back. I’ll follow him forever, through anything, no matter how hard. But before I give a man such power over me I want to know that he has that same love toward the Lord. I will follow him perfectly, if I can, but he must follow the Savior. Perhaps if all women felt as i do then men would start to be better.”
